As the University continues to closely monitor the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the health and safety of our USA family, including our students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends is top of mind. You are in our thoughts as we navigate this difficult and trying time.
In the interest of everyone’s safety, upcoming USA National Alumni Association events, events at the MacQueen Alumni Center, Medical Alumni Association events and USA fundraising events have been either cancelled or postponed through at least April 19.
In response to the COVID-19 virus, the University of South Alabama:
- Has suspended all in-person instruction and is transitioning to all on-line instruction through at least April 19.
- The University of South Alabama main campus is transitioning to limited on-campus operations in order to minimize in-person contact between employees, effective immediately.
- With safety in mind, students have been asked to leave campus until April 19. Those students who are not able to leave campus are being accommodated.
- Vehicular access on campus is limited to USA South Drive and Jaguar Boulevard. We ask that you refrain from visiting the MacQueen Alumni Center until further notice.
We are grateful to our alumni and friends for all you do to support USA and to advance our critical missions of education, research and excellence in healthcare. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we take steps to ensure the safety and well- being of our alumni, friends and USA staff.
