Threaded Fasteners Tighten Up
The legacy of “The Last Dance” should be that great storytelling about a good subject is a slam dunk for success.
Unfortunately, that may not be the legacy of the groundbreaking, 10-part series.
As soon as the telling of the story of Michael Jordan and the Bulls was finished it was announced that a nine-parter on Tom Brady was in the works.
Now, I’m almost as interested in Brady as Jordan. But the Jordan story was told more than 20 years later with the benefit of exclusive behind-the-scenes video.
There’s no way the Brady doc is going to include a candid interview with Bill Bellichick or have any less-than-flattering take by anyone. That’s never going to happen with a current player.
The Brady profile is likely to be a puff piece that seeks to solidify his legacy. I’ve got no problem with some of that if it also comes with an element of drama.
It’s time to Tighten Up and realize that nobody wants a watered-down documentary that doesn’t include some contend that can only be produced after years have passed.
For Threaded Fasteners I’m Randy Kennedy with Tighten Up.
