Mobile lost one of the pillars of the community this week with the passing of businessman and former South Alabama Jaguar baseball player Jimmy Francia.
Francia was a star athlete at Shaw High School before playing on the last South Alabama team of Eddie Stanky and the first team of Steve Kittrell. He was 57 and had entered the hospital to get a knee replacement. While there, he contracted pneumonia and other complications.
Kittrell joined our show Wednesday morning to talk about his contributions to the South Alabama program both as a player and a community leader through Francia's Formal Attire.
