South Alabama's first home football game could be against Tulane

South Alabama's much-anti home-opener for football this season could be against the Tulane Green Wave, according to Doug Konkel of JagsJungle.com.

The Jags' game against Grambling State on Sept. 12 was cancelled because Grambling will not play this fall because of COVID-19. That left USA will open dates on Sept. 12 and Sept. 19 after opening on the road against Southern Miss.

The game, according to Konkel, would serve as the home game for South Alabama in a series that had previously been scheduled with Tulane. The new date could be finalized as early as today.
