Threaded Fasteners Nuts and Bolts of the Game
The first 10 times the Tennessee Volunteers played the Alabama Crimson Tide they scored a total of 11 points.
Sure, that’s only 1.1 points per game, but the series started more than 100 years ago when scoring outbursts weren’t exactly commonplace.
But the problem for the Vols is that they haven’t done much better in the last decade.
In fact, during Alabama’s current 13-game winning streak in the series the Vols have scored no more than 21 points in a game. They’ve scored a total of 160 points during the streak for an average of 12.3 points per game.
That’s not going to be enough to beat this Alabama team. Four times that number might not be enough against an Alabama offense that is likely to score in bunches Saturday at Neyland Stadium.
