Threaded Fasteners Nuts and Bolts of the Game
Georgia has a graduate transfer quarterback who is among the Heisman Trophy favorites despite having never played a down for the Bulldogs.
And here’s the really interesting part – he may never be a starter in the SEC.
Jamie Newman is being haled as a potential Georgia superstar based on what he did at Wake Forest. But now, Georgia has a commitment from another transfer quarterback, former USC 5-star recruit J.T. Daniels.
Daniels was a freshman starter before injuring his knee as a sophomore. When his replacement, Kedon Slovis, played spectacularly, Daniels figured it was time to look for another school.
It’s unclear if Daniels will be eligible right away at Georgia.
But, unlike Newman, Daniels has actually shown glimpses of a player who could be a superstar.
Clearly, Kirby Smart shares that opinion.
