Threaded Fasteners Tighten Up: Pujols picks up the slack for his owner

Threaded Fasteners Tighten Up

Sometimes when someone needs to Tighten Up, a good person can step forward to help the situation.

That’s the case with the Angels’ Albert Pujols, one of the good guys in sports. Pujols has committed $180,000 to pay the salaries of Angels employees who are on furlough in his native Dominican Republic.

This money won’t help anyone make a Lamborghini payment. It’ll be used to put food on the table.

But why does an employee have to take care of other employees in the organization? It’s because owner Arte Moreno has refused to do so.

This isn’t a case of one rich guy doing the right thing and another choosing not to. While Pujols is rich by any standard, his net worth is roughly 5 percent of that of Moreno.

It’s within Moreno’s rights to furlough his employees during these difficult times. But it’s good to know there are people like Pujols willing to help him Tighten Up.

For Threaded Fasteners, I’m Randy Kennedy with Tighten Up.
