Mobile's J.T. Thompson is an experienced diver and spear fisherman. He needed all that experience last weekend when he found himself hooked in the neck while diving off the shore of Orange Beach.
Thompson escaped without serious injury but not until after being pulled to the surface by the fishermen.
Thompson is now telling his story in hopes that alerting everyone on the water to be aware of their surroundings.
It's good to hear him laugh about the experience that could have turned out much worse.
