Threaded Fasteners Tighten Up

Alabama’s defense.

That’s it. That’s who needs to tighten up.

The Tide’s historically good offense scored touchdowns on their last eight possessions because they needed every last one of them. If the problem was that Ole Miss coach and former Tide assistant Lane Kiffin knew the Alabama signals (it wasn’t) then don’t look now but Alabama’s next two opponents are also coached by former Nick Saban assistants. And both Georgia and Tennessee actually have some defensive players to complement their offenses.

Alabama and Georgia are the only two undefeated teams remaining in the SEC. But it sure feels like Alabama is coming off a loss or a death in the family at Oxford.

Is this defense and this season salvageable? If so, this is the week for an embarrassingly bad defense to Tighten Up.
