Threaded Fasteners Tighten Up: Georgia can't find a quarterback

Threaded Fasteners Tighten Up

Justin Fields has completed 69 of 80 passes for Ohio State this season.

Georgia’s Stetson Bennett and D’wan Mathis combined to complete nine passes Saturday in a blowout loss to Florida.

Nobody has to be reminded that Fields signed with and played sparingly for the home-state Bulldogs before transferring to Oho State.

After losing a second game and being virtually eliminated from any championship consideration, Georgia fans have a right to wonder how it got this bad at quarterback for their team.

Transfer Jamie Newman opted out. Transfer JT Daniels hasn’t gotten a single snap. Bennett is not an SEC quarterback. Mathis is a long way from being ready. And highly recruited freshman Carson Beck can’t even make the travel squad.

Georgia’s roster is littered with great players at almost every position. But coach Kirby Smart needs to Tighten Up and realized that none of that matters without a competent quarterback.

For Threaded Fasteners I’m Randy Kennedy with Tighten Up.
