Threaded Fasteners Nuts and Bolts of the Game: Is JT Daniels the answer?

Threaded Fasteners Nuts and Bolts of the Game

Georgia hosts Mississippi State tomorrow. And, after the game, coach Kirby Smart will be lambasted for his handling of the Bulldogs’ quarterback situation.

Word is that USC transfer JT Daniels is ready to make his first appearance and first start. If Daniels looks like the player who was the 5-star recruit he was coming out of high school, Georgia fans are going to be livid that he wasn’t given a chance before all hope for this season was lost.

If Daniels looks bad, the criticism will revolve around the fact that a program like Georgia, with championship talent at every other position, can be left without a single competent quarterback on the roster.

Since halftime of the Alabama game, starter Stetson Bennett has six interceptions and just two touchdowns. Backup D’Wan Mathis has been no better.

Now comes Daniels.

Playing against a greatly undermanned Mississippi State team, Daniels is likely going to look good. Which is not going to be good enough for frustrated Georgia fans.

For Threaded Fasteners, I’m Randy Kennedy with Nuts and Bolts of the Game.
