Threaded Fasteners Nuts and Bolts of the Game: The rich only get richer

If you want an idea of what the college football semifinals are going to look like once we adopt a 12-team playoff, look no further than the College World Series.

Teams from all regions of the country were represented in the NCAA baseball tournament. Yet, once we got down to eight teams, there were three representatives from the SEC and two more from the ACC.

The final four teams were from North Carolina State, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Texas. That’s nobody from the north. And nobody from the west.

Just having Stanford and Arizona in the College World Series meant the event was more a national attraction. But in the end when we crown the final champion of this academic year, the rich will continue to get richer.

For Threaded Fasteners, I’m Randy Kennedy with Nuts and Bolts of the Game
