The Bryant Bank Player of the Week for the first round of the state playoffs is Baldwin County quarterback Ty Mims. The senior ran 29 times for 172 yards and two touchdowns and completed 12 of 20 passes for 171 yards. He also returned a punt 55 yards for a touchdown in a 32-29 win at Helena. Mims, a Southern Miss commit, will lead the Tigers against Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs.
