Threaded Fasteners Tighten Up: Auburn suffers stinging defeat to Bulldogs

Heading into Saturday, the three major college football teams from Mississippi were a combined 0-7 against teams from Alabama.

Southern Miss has lost to South Alabama, Troy, Alabama and UAB. The Ole Miss Rebels have won every game this season not played in Alabama, but were handled by both Alabama and Auburn. And Mississippi State was no match for Alabama.

It looked like we were headed for a perfect 8-0 sweep when Auburn raced to a 28-3 lead Saturday against Mississippi State. But 40 straight points by the Bulldogs led to a comeback of historic proportions.

Auburn needed to Tighten Up not only for its own sake but also for the sake of state pride.
