Doug reacts to the latest reports about Cowboys owner Jerry Jones seriously considering Deion Sanders for his open head coaching position. Doug reminds us that stories like this don’t make it out to the media unless somebody wants them to and he thinks Deion clearly wanted these rumors out there. These reports make it hard for Jerry to hire anybody else when the fan base is clearly excited about the prospect of bringing Coach Prime onboard.
Doug Gottlieb: “Now Deion (Sanders) is putting the pressure squarely on Jerry (Jones). That story doesn’t get out unless Deion wants it out. It’s out from multiple sources. That’s Deion putting on the full-court press. Now it’s on Jerry and it becomes really hard to hire anybody else.”
