Donna Ward's new book, "Unexpected Hope," details the journey she has taken since being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012.
The book is honest in dealing with many difficult moments, but it also delivers a message of hope and perseverance.
Ward and her husband Turner, a veteran Major League Baseball player and coach, joined The Randy Kennedy Thursday to talk about the book, their journey and even so funny moments along the way, including the story of Turner literally running through a wall to help his team win.
