If all goes as expected, Terry Curtis will reach an incredible milestone tonight. The head football coach of the UMS-Wright Bulldogs is one win away from tying former Vestavia Hills coach Buddy Anderson as the winningest coach in Alabama high school football history. If he doesn’t get it tonight against Williamson, he almost certainly will next week in the fist round of the playoffs against Headland.
Curtis is a legend. But so is Bayside Academy volleyball coach Ann Schilling, who led her team to an incredible 21st straight state championship on Thursday.
It’s amazing to think that the best to ever do it in this state in two different sports are active on the Gulf Coast right now.
