Cincinnati QB Joe Burrow has been on an accelerated program to return from his toe injury and was seen taking first-team reps in practice this week, but the Bengals have yet to announce whether or not he will start against the Patriots on Sunday. Dan Beyer, in for Doug Gottlieb, thinks he absolutely must play for the Bengals this week or they may as well just write off the season altogether.
Dan Beyer: “It’s still a longshot, but it is the reason why Joe Burrow has been on this accelerated program to return this season. And if he’s not going to play in Week 12, you might as well sit him for the rest of the season because there’d be no reason to play him…This season for the Cincinnati Bengals rides (on) this weekend.”
